I filmed this after realizing how many of us silence our own voices trying not to be “cringe.” We forget that art is sacred because it’s honest — not because it’s perfect. You can’t serve truth and validation at the same time. You either express or you perform.

And my grandma Cicely said it best:“Déjy, you can’t care if they like you. A lot of them don’t even like themselves. Most people don’t know them ass from them elbow.”

So here’s to creating what wants to move through you, even when it’s messy, loud, or misunderstood.
