It&#8217;s been a while since I posted, I have been going through a lot of growth.<\/p>\n<p>Most recently, I moved back home to the Caribbean in August and dove deeper into my ancestral medicine. I have spent most of the last few months in the &#8216;bush&#8217; (in nature) integrating the herbal medicine of my people.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s felt soooo good to reconnect in this way. Now, I am ready to share this with you!<\/p>\n<p>We are kicking things off with moringa, an amazing superfood.<\/p>\n<p>In this video I share the health benefits of the plant and a special recipe with you!<\/p>\n<p>Happy viewing \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-video fusion-youtube\" style=\"max-width:600px;max-height:360px;align-self:center; width:100%\"><div class=\"video-shortcode\"><iframe title=\"YouTube video player 1\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/zw_Gzdz_LCM?wmode=transparent&autoplay=0\" width=\"600\" height=\"360\" allowfullscreen allow=\"autoplay; fullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/div><\/div><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-2\"><p><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1\/2 lb white quinoa, cooked<\/li>\n<li>1 cup fresh moringa leaves<\/li>\n<li>1 cup fresh mint leaves<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 bell pepper, diced<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 large carrot, diced<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 large onion, diced<\/li>\n<li>3 small radishes, diced<\/li>\n<li>2 cloves of garlic<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Dressing<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 tablespoon peanut butter<\/li>\n<li>1 teaspoon hot pepper sauce<\/li>\n<li>2 teaspoons chopped ginger<\/li>\n<li>1 teaspoon chopped garlic<\/li>\n<li>1 teaspoon agave nectar<\/li>\n<li>1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar<\/li>\n<li>1 teaspoon oil<\/li>\n<li>salt<\/li>\n<li>pepper<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Process<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Cook quinoa according to packaging instructions. Drain off water. Season with 2 tablespoons of olive oil, salt,\u00a0 and pepper. Set aside and let cool.<\/li>\n<li>Heat a skillet over medium heat with 2 tablespoons olive oil.<\/li>\n<li>Add chopped onion, bell pepper, carrots, mushrooms, and garlic and cook until all the flavors come together. Let cool.<\/li>\n<li>Chop other veggies you may like such as radishes and tomatoes like I did.<\/li>\n<li>Toss the quinoa, moringa, mint and raw veggies, together in the bowl with the kale. Add a bit more seasoning to taste.<\/li>\n<li>Can be served warm or cold.<\/li>\n<li>Serve to your friends.
