*Disclaimer: I am not a doctor. This is a natural remedy I found useful in healing my sprained ankle.*

Back with a natural remedy!

In late February, I sprained my right ankle pretty badly. For a few days, I was swollen up and bruised. I couldn’t really walk or put much pressure on it in general.

The pain subsided within a few weeks, just in time for my 21st birthday trip to the Virgin Islands. On this trip, my grandmother taught me a new remedy using the leaves of the noni tree.

After a few days of soaking my sprained ankle in this homemade medicine, I saw improvement in my ankle pain, bruising, and mobility.

Here is the recipe below:

Noni Leaf Ankle Soak

Ingredients:

3-5 large noni leaves

1/4 cup epsom salt

6 cups warmed water

Instructions:

Steep the noni leaves in the water (like you would do to tea) so you get the full benefits.

Stir in epsom salt flakes until they dissolve.

Soak the affected ankle in the solution for at least 30 minutes, until your water gets cool.

Wrap your ankle, keep it elevated, and don’t put too much pressure on it!

Repeat as many times as you need.

Hope this helps you as much as it’s helped me!
